I will be offering two Teacher Training programs beginning in 2008 and ending in 2009. These programs are designed to teach you what I know, which is how to use the process of Intuitive Painting, Group Process and Bodywork, Music and Movement to create a healing environment via classes, workshops, and retreats, to encourage people to manifest the best of who they are through the power of creative self expression.
There will be a Residential Training program for out of town folks that will be held at the Mountain Home Ranch Resort located in Calistoga, CA which is in the beautiful Napa Valley. The training will be conducted as one 7 day intensive and three 5 day intensives (or 22 days of training) that will be held about 4 months apart over a one year period of time.
Dates of the Intensives:
- July 13-20, 2008
- November 8-13, 2008
- February 7-12, 2009
- June 5-11, 2009
The fee for this training will be $6,622.00.
The fee includes:
- Food and group lodging at the Mountain Home Ranch.
Private rooms are available for an increased fee.
- 4 individual coaching sessions in between the intensives with Chris Zydel.
- 3 group teleclasses where you can ask questions and get support.
These will be held in between the Intensive sessions.

- A Teacher Training manual
The Non-Residential Training Program will be held at my studio in Oakland. This is designed for people who are local and who don't want to or can't take time out of their schedules go away for 4 weeks. Because there are no residential or meal fees the cost is also less.
This training will include two 3 day non-residential weekend intensives, one 5 day non-residential weekend intensive (for a total of 11 days of training) and 27 three hour classes, that will be spread out over a 1 year period of time.
The dates for the weekend intensives are:
- April 23-27, 2008
- August 15-17, 2008
- March 6-8, 2009
- The weekly class schedule will be determined at a later date.
The fee for this non-residential training program is $5,000.00.
The fee will also include:
- 4 individual coaching sessions with Chris
- 3 group teleclasses
- A Teacher Training manual
- A Yahoo Groups email list where you can keep in contact
with each other, get support and ask questions about your process.
This is a professional training and the purpose of this training is to produce teachers. My intention is that you come out of this training feeling confident to teach expressive arts classes and to run your own workshops. This is not a survey class. It is very hands on and experiential. There is definitely an aspect of this process that will be oriented towards your personal growth because you can't really guide other people into places that you yourself have not gone to.
This training is designed:
- To give you a deep experience of the intuitive painting process through immersion in your own creativity.
- To give you greater confidence in taking on the role of teacher and leader. You will learn a lot by being a student, but you will also be learning to think like a teacher and to think like a leader. You will learn how to create a strong and safe healing container that supports people to open fully to their own creative process. You will also be encouraged to discover your own strengths and your own teaching/leadership style.
- To teach you about group process by you being part of a dynamic, creative community which is devoted to growth and healing through creativity that will be meeting and working together over the next year.
- To give you practical nuts and bolts information about how to set up an expressive arts workshop or studio.
- To give you a strong grounding in the conceptual underpinnings of this work which includes learning how to talk about this process in your role as teacher.
- To give you confidence and experience in designing your own expressive arts processes.
- To give you hands on experience of teaching with feedback from your peers.
- To support you to go out into the world and actually teach.
- To give you some basic marketing tools.

Working with Chris as a student of the painting process and to develop into a facilitator has been an unbelievable journey.
